I started my working career within the ANZ Bank in the early 70's, married, we then travelled and worked in Europe during the mid 70's and had our first son Jon in 1977 Walter 1979 then Bex in 1982.

When Bex started school in 1987 I created Central Employment, NZ's first farm based rural employment agency. Within three years the business had grown to 3 branches and in 1990 I sold the business and we moved north to Cambridge in the Waikato, where I sold real estate for a number of years.

The mid 90's I created my first retail store, Rustic Charm fashioned after a woolshed specialising in top quality local and New Zealand craft. A buyer presented me with an offer to sell I couldn't refuse and I then went on to import the lovely old Dutch Colonial furniture from Indonesia and retailed this from Virtu's an Interior Designer Store I opened in Commerce Street in Cambridge.

1999 I moved to Holland for a few years and then the UK and during this time studied Art & Design at Farnham University in the South of England.

During 2005 I returned to Cambridge where I now live and operate Beech Tree Cottage for B&B or self catering accommodation.

I play Bridge, paint and love designing and building websites for clients and playing a small part in transforming their dreams into reality.
